Koto appoints first Chairperson as it embarks on expansion

Portfolio company Koto, the global creative company, has appointed Charles Fallon as its first Chairperson, following strategic investment from us earlier this year.

The appointment marks a significant milestone in Koto’s growth journey as the company expands its capabilities to offer a wider range of creative services in response to growing global clients’ needs.

Charles’ experience will support Koto in acquiring leading brand, digital, and creative studios in new countries and cities. He will work closely with the founders as they scale the business and partner with WestBridge to realise the value of their investment.

From the outset, the Koto leadership team felt Charles’ passion for supporting teams and building diverse cultures would be invaluable to the company and to them personally. He joins Koto with over 15 years of international agency-side experience — including a decade at Saatchi & Saatchi Advertising — and 20 years in growth and M&A as Co-founder of SI Global, an advisory business for the creative and related technology sectors across Europe, Asia, and North America. He is also an experienced Chairperson across creative, consumer entertainment, and technology businesses.

About his appointment, Fallon said:

“As someone interested in the creative industry I’ve admired James’s, Caroline’s, and Joey’s success from a far, so I’m delighted to join the team as they embark on the next chapter of growth.

“The recent investment by Westbridge will enable Koto to invest in new capabilities to meet clients’ changing brand and digital communication needs. My agency side experience and global M&A knowledge will complement the skills and resources of the Westbridge team . I’m looking forward to working with the Koto team and supporting them on their individual and collective journeys.”

James Greenfield, CEO, Koto said:

“As we continue to grow and evolve, having an experienced Chair like Charles will bring us — and me personally — a huge amount of insight. That guidance will be vital to achieving our ambitions, particularly in M&A. We’re all excited to begin working together.”

Caroline Matthews, CCO, added:

“I am over the moon to welcome Charles to Koto. It is a huge privilege to have him join us at this incredibly exciting time in our journey. His experience in driving a global leadership team will be invaluable.”

While Jowey Roden, CCO at Koto, concluded:

“Charles is an elite performer, and a veteran in our industry. I couldn’t be happier to welcome him to Koto and look forward to his support on providing best in class creativity to our clients.”
