Survey Solutions showcased at buy and build round table

David Lowe, CEO at Survey Solutions, was recently invited by The Business Desk to attend a round table discussion entitled, ‘Buy and build: unlocking growth through strategic acquisitions’.

Since a management buyout in January 2024, led by David, Survey Solutions has completed two strategic acquisitions as the company pursues its ambitious buy and build growth plan.

This, along with his previous experience of corporate transactions, made David an excellent contributor to the discussion.

David provided a refreshingly pragmatic perspective and offered sage advice to those considering various growth strategies.

All participants agreed that a successful buy and build strategy requires a clear strategic vision; disciplined target selection; thoughtful integration planning; appropriate management incentivisation; and flexibility in deal structures.

The stellar line-up, which included representatives of management teams and investors, also agreed that a tailored approach – not a one size fits all approach – is essential for success.

After spending 27 years in publicly listed businesses, David embraced the opportunity to lead the management buyout of Survey Solutions.  He believes there is immense potential for transformation in the fragmented world of surveying through consolidation and innovation.
